Saqueando Nuestra Historia , Brigada Ramona Parra
Brigada Ramona Parra is a Chilean artist collective. The collective owes its name to the young demonstrator Ramona Parra who was shot dead during a demonstration in the early 1940s in Chile. In collaboration with the young patients of the Zeepreventorium, the brigade produced this mural in the tunnel that connects the Zeepreventorium to the beach. The work, translated as The Plunder of our History, tells about fishermen, farmers and miners, about rebellion and oppression, about mothers with children. The brigade travels around the world and spends a few weeks in the same place to really get in touch with the environment.
